Wisconsin
Teacher Standard Alignment |
This
artifact primarily addresses Standard 10: Collaboration. My participation in responding to the questionnaire demonstrates my willingness to consult with other professionals regarding the education and well-being of my students.
This
artifact secondarily addresses Standard 3: Diversity; Standard
4: Strategies; Standard 6: Communication; Standard 8: Assessment;
and Standard 9: Reflective. In the body of the questionnaire are questions regarding how student needs are met, and methods (specifically, alternative methods) in which student achievement is assessed. As I worked on communicating my methods through the questionnaire, self-reflection became a side-product of the activity. |

What
I learned about teaching/learning from this experience: |
The questions on the questionnaire provided me with information on important current issues of our district. They are interested in how the teachers are meeting the special needs of their students, and also in how much we use the state standards within our curriculum. |

What
I learned about myself as an educator as a result of
this experience/artifact: |
I learned that I am a fortunate recipient of a rich educational environment to facilitate learning within. I was able to recall many of the built in strategies I have been given for meeting the many needs of our students. With the advantage of a computer-based and heavily hands-on enriched curriculum, I found myself well-equipped with specific examples of meeting those needs. I'm a lucky teacher for everything I have to work with within my lab environment. |
